Who may obtain a library card?
Library cards are free to residents of Benton County. Picture ID and proof of residence is required. Free library cards are also available for all Bella Vista business owners and their employees.
A parent or legal guardian must have a valid library card and their signature is required for anyone under the age of 18 to obtain a card. By signing the registration form at the time of application, the parent or guardian acknowledges responsibility for the items borrowed, fees incurred and their children’s selection of materials.
Out of county parties may obtain a library card for a one time fee of $25.

- Check Book
- Letter from Employers
- Rental Managers or equivalent
Post Office boxes cannot be used to verify residential status.
Registering for a Library Card Online
In addition to coming into the library to register for a library card, you may now fill out the application online here. You will still need to come into the library in order to provide proof of residence and pick up your physical card.
Using your Library Card Online
You may use your library card (enter all numbers without any spaces) to check your account online, renew and reserve items. Your default PIN is the last four digits of the phone number given at the time of registration.
Similarly, you may use your library card to download e-books, audiobooks, and magazines from our online collections.
