1. Any permanent resident of Bella Vista, whether a property owner or renter, may have a library card free of charge. Membership in the POA is not required. Bella Vista children may have their own library cards with a parent's signature. A 25-item limit is imposed on Bella Vista residents.
Those living outside the City of Bella Vista are assessed a $25.00 per year fee for a library card. There are no children's memberships for children living outside of Bella Vista. Non-resident memberships carry a 10-item limit for checkout.
For visitors or temporary residents of Bella Vista, the library offers a temporary library card for $5.00 per month with a 3-month limit. Temporary members must live at least 150 miles from the City of Bella Vista
Just come by the library and ask to apply for a card at our Membership Desk.
2. The cost of renting a DVD or video (for 7 days) or a CD-book (for three weeks) is $2.00. We also offer entertainment cards for $30.00 (allows patron to rent 20 individual audio or video items at a savings of 25%). Because we are in effect a private library, these rental fees help support the library.
3. There is a 21-day loan for most items, with a 7-day check-out time for DVDs and periodicals.
4. There are currently no fines charged for overdue books. However, there is a fine of $0.25 per day for overdue videos, DVDs, and CD-books.
5. Yes! Our six public computers and three library laptops include word processing software.
6. Yes! Simply click on the My Library Account link on our home page or Patron Account from our online catalog. Type in your library card number and password. (Until you change it, your password will be the last four digits of your telephone number.) Once you have logged in, you have the option of changing your password, renewing items, viewing items out, cancelling holds, and changing your account information.

8. Yes! Go to this site or click on any Library2Go link on our Web site. Use the number on your library card plus your PIN (last four digits of your phone number) to login and download ebooks and audiobooks. You may have five digital items checked out at one time. Audiobooks and Ebooks check out for two weeks.
