December 2017
No Categories Designated Quiet Time

We know that our small library can get pretty loud, especially if there is an event going on. To help combat this issue and provide our patrons with a quiet space where they can read and study, we will be implementing a Designated Quiet Time during which we will not schedule events. Thursdays from 9:00-12:00 and Fridays from 1:00-5:00 we will not have any events scheduled. Feel free to come to use the library to read, study, and enjoy the quiet space.

Join us on the first Saturday of every month for Legomania! This fun and creative event is a great way to invent and design new and amazing things. We’ll provide the Legos, you just bring your creativity!

Presenter Susan Byrd will be at the library on December 4th at 4:00 p.m. to present about a unique cloth from Japan woven from paper called shifu. A demonstration of the paper threadmaking process will be given, which will include folding and cutting paper into thin strips, rolling a sheet of cut paper and spinning it into a tightly twisted thread. Examples of paper thread and cloth from Japan and other countries will be brought for show and tell.
