September 2017
No Categories Designated Quiet Time

We know that our small library can get pretty loud, especially if there is an event going on. To help combat this issue and provide our patrons with a quiet space where they can read and study, we will be implementing a Designated Quiet Time during which we will not schedule events. Thursdays from 9:00-12:00 and Fridays from 1:00-5:00 we will not have any events scheduled. Feel free to come to use the library to read, study, and enjoy the quiet space.

Teen Night

Every third Friday from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Ages 11 & up.

Come to the library for all kinds of fun adventures! Each month will be a new event. From movies to games to crafts, we’ll do it all!

Local Author Showcase

Looking for new authors to read? Want to support local artists? Then stop by the Bella Vista Public Library’s Local Author Showcase! This is event will be filled with local authors who want to share their works with you. Meet new people, find new books, and connect with authors who live right here in Northwest Arkansas!

Guys Read Book Club

This book club is for boys in grades 3-5. Join other boys to read and talk about great books. Participants will need to read the selected chapters before the club meets.

Guys Read meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday.

No Categories Gathering of the Bookies

The library is hosting its 12th annual gathering of all area readers and book clubs on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  Cookies and punch will be served at 12:30, followed by a gathering where we will all share what books we have read and enjoyed (or hated) in the past year or so.  All book clubs and readers — from neighborhood groups to the tennis buddies to solo readers — are invited to come together to discuss and gossip about our common love: books!  If you are part of a book club, bring along a list of what your club has read in the past year.  Copies of book lists from various clubs will be available to take home with you.

Following are the books mentioned by readers who gathered for an hour of book gossip at the Bella Vista Public Library on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
